April 22nd is Earth Day 2021. April 22nd is also the date of the next Midway Woods Association meeting, when we’ll be meeting via Zoom to hear from some of the local groups/organizations working on upkeep and improvements to Dearborn Park and Shoal Creek.
Representatives from the following organizations will be on hand to give an overview of the organization and the work being done to maintain and preserve the park and creek.
- Dearborn Area Nature Alliance, represented by Martha Miller and Kristen Jordan Daniel
- Friends of Dearborn Park, represented by Kevin Polite
- Rivers Alive, represented by Steven Blackburn

Meeting Agenda:
- Welcome, Board Introductions, and General neighborhood announcements
- Environmental focus celebrating Earth Day 2021 by highlighting organizations doing great work in Dearborn Park and along Shoal Creek
- Each panelist will introduce themselves, their organization, their role in the park and give an overview of their activities, needs, upcoming events, how people can get involved with them, and other information they would like to share.
- We’ll open up the meeting to a Q&A session with the panelists. We’ll be taking questions via chat during the meeting. If you’d like to submit a question ahead of time, please email it to midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com and we’ll be sure to add it to the list.
