The month of September is the Midway Woods Association’s annual membership drive. If you’re already a member, we encourage you to renew! If you’re new to the association or neighborhood, you’re invited to join!
Being a member means you can vote and/or run for a seat on the board. Membership dues also help pay for administrative expenses for websites, newsletters, social events and environmental projects.
Please complete this form to join or renew your Midway Woods Association membership or click on the button below.
Suggested dues are $20 per person, per year, and can be paid using PayPal or via check.
When making payments via PayPal, send the payment from your bank account and not your credit card to avoid fees and send to: treasurer@midwaywoodsassociation.org
When making payments via check, send to: Midway Woods Association, P.O. Box 1496 , Decatur, GA 30031.
Dues are always optional and are not required to join the association; we acknowledge that this year has been a tough one for many of us and dues should not be a barrier for anyone who wishes to join. If you want to join or renew your membership, simply fill out the membership form.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
We’re also looking for volunteers to help our small board plan and organize the many projects and events for our neighborhood. We would love your assistance and participation!
Please message us at midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com to get involved.
We’re looking for assistance with the following types of events/committees:
- Community Engagement (Events, Potlucks, Parties)
- Environmental Infrastructure (Cleanups, Parks and Streets)
- Public Safety (Neighborhood Watch, Security Patrol Leaders)
- Communication (Help us in getting the word out)
- Fundraising (Membership drives, Raffles, etc)
- Midway Mixers. If you are interested in hosting a neighborhood get-together, let us know! We can provide some help in getting the word out.
Our biggest need at the moment is for additional board members. We’d love for you to consider joining our association board.
Volunteering with the board or on a committee is a great way to get to know your neighbors and feel more connected to the neighborhood. The time commitments required are fairly minimal and we’d like to think that we are a good-natured bunch that has a good time doing good things for the benefit of everyone in the neighborhood. Please consider joining!
At the Annual Midway Woods Association meeting coming up in October, we will be accepting nominations for board positions. According to our association bylaws, you must be a member of Midway Woods Association for a minimum of 14 days to be eligible (to run or to vote).
Email us at midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com if you have questions or want more info about what being on the board is like!
