There were some additional ideas that came up during the meeting:
- Creating a “Welcome to the Neighborhood” kit that we could provide for new neighborhood residents.
- Add a QR code to those neighborhood signs
Halloween and trick-or-treating is coming up at the end of October
And the Teal Pumpkin Project is a simple way to make trick-or-treating safer and more inclusive for the one in 13 children living with food allergies, and others impacted by intolerances and other conditions. Placing a teal pumpkin on the doorstep signals that, in addition to candy, you offer non-food trinkets and treats that are safe for all trick or treaters. Coming up next for the association: Board member elections. Some of our board members’ terms carry over for another year and some are up for re-election. We’ve had a number of additional people express interest in being on the board as well. If you are an association member and are interested in joining the board, email us at midwaywoodscommunications@gmail.com and we can add you to the ballot.
