Dekalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson, in cooperation with the Belvedere Civic Club, is sponsoring a community clean-up this Saturday, March 26, at 9:30 a.m. Participants are asked to meet in the parking lot of the Walmart at 3850 Memorial Drive — the intersection of Memorial and Columbia.
This community clean up will bring together youth, families and community partners to remove trash and other debris from the roads and sidewalks in Belvedere Park.
Covid protocols will be in place, so please be sure to bring your mask. Also, be sure to wear appropriate clothing like long sleeved shirts and long pants, work gloves, close toed shoes, etc. Because there may be larger debris, please be sure to bring some sort of hand protection like leather or gardening gloves. Visibility vests and garbage grabbers will be provided along with water and light snacks.
This is the first of a series of weekly clean-ups that the commissioner’s office is sponsoring.
The Midway Woods Association is sponsoring a clean-up of our own neighborhood for the weekend of April 23, 2022. Look for more details on that clean-up event soon. We hope to see you at one or more of these neighborhood events!
