Approximately 50 neighborhood residents, including 7 kids (according to our count at any rate) gathered in the park to share stories and food and get to know each other a bit better.

The picnic also served as a Back-to-School fundraiser and supply drive for Avondale Elementary School. We collected supplies such as crayons, #2 pencils, composition notebooks as well as donations for our local elementary school and its students.

The picnic was also a kick-off for our 2022-23 association membership drive.
