Shoal Creek Clean-Up, Oldfield Road and Catherine Street

Trash tends to accumulate quickly along Oldfield Road and in the creek that runs alongside it. We’re assembling a crew on April 22 to see what we can do to clean up the trash and beautify this part of our neighborhood!

As part of the clean-up event, Steven Blackburn of Rivers Alive will provide a demonstration of water quality monitoring.

Just show up at 9 a.m. on April 22nd and we can put you to work! Gloves, long pants, proper footwear, water bottle recommended.

Optional: rakes (small ones work well), shovel for big items, and grabbers. (We should have some grabbers available for people to use.)

Do be prepared to get a little dirty.

Rivers Alive t-shirts will be provided to participants. https://riversalive.georgia.gov/.

We hope to see you there!!

Future clean-ups are planned to tackled other areas of the neighborhood where trash builds up as well.
