We wanted to pass along this notice from Dekalb County Super District 6 Commissioner Ted Terry’s office:
“DeKalb County is undergoing a Comprehensive Trail / Greenway Master Plan and needs your input!”
“Will you tell us how you think trails and greenways in DeKalb can be improved to better serve the community?”
Throughout the fall, several trail input sessions were conducted to get feedback from Dekalb County residents. And now The Parks and Rec Department has launched an online survey to ensure that as many voices as possible can be heard.
Leave your feedback by using the map input tool to pinpoint issues, opportunities, and challenges on specific areas in DeKalb County.
“You can stay up to date on all things trails throughout this process by visiting the Dekalb Trail and Greenway Master Plan page — just scroll to the bottom of the page and add your email under “sign up for project updates.”
“Multi Use Trails are an incredible opportunity to increase car alternative transportation, promote healthy activity, conserve nature, improve air quality, reduce heat island effect, and create resilient communities. But they can only provide these benefits if they are where people need them and designed how people want them.”
