It’s time for the Dearborn Area Nature Alliance’s annual Great Ivy Pull!
Please come and enjoy the fun and camaraderie as the group and associated friends, family, allies, children, cousins, second cousins, interested weed-pullers (and, maybe, you!) pull out loads of English Ivy and then celebrate with prizes and refreshments.
Where: Meet at the playground in Dearborn Park
When: 10 a.m. to noon, Sunday, March 16
Bring garden saws, clippers, and a water bottle. Wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves.
This is the 4th annual great ivy pull – the Dearborn Area Nature Alliance has been out in the park, twice a month, working to rid our park of invasive species such as English Ivy, Chaffe flower, and other invasive plants. Their annual event is a great opportunity to lend them a hand and let them know you appreciate all their hard work (and how nice the park looks thanks to their efforts.)
Plus there will be prizes. And refreshments. And snacks. And goats. And an art project. Fun for the whole family!
This event is sponsored by the Friends of Dearborn Park (dearbornparkfriends@gmail.com) and the Dearborn Area Nature Alliance (dearborn30030@gmail.com)
Hope to see you there!
